The All-In-one Assembly machine AIMEX II was further developed. The AIMEX II takes the popular AIMEX concept with additional flexibility and expandability.

We have to thank the printed electronic circuits the considerable progress of this generation in electronics and communication. These boards are built by surface mount, with the component placement machines as the centerpiece of the production line. The AIMEX II satisfies the growing needs of the companies to a flexible production with variable mix of high performance and versatile product mix with small batch sizes.

Functions/properties

  • Feeding of large amounts of different components: In order to process the large amounts of necessary component types, 180 pitches for different taped components offered. The wide-ranging supply of components, in the tapes, sticks or tray is made possible by the simple exchange of the units.
  • Selectable placement portal configuration: (Up to 4 robots per machine) Both the head types as well as the number of XY axes can be adapted to cover changes in production type and quantity.
  • Efficient support for the introduction of new products (NPI): Auto Shape Generator (.. automatic creation of part shapes) on the machine will be the standard in order to shorten the time to introduce a new product in series production. When using the NPI will support the production continued at a fault during the image processing process quickly because the necessary changes to the image processing are automatically generated from the error image.   • Independent dual track production: This machine allows for a dual-track an independent production of various printed circuit boards at the same time. With this setup, it is possible to perform a change on one track while the other track is produced to continue. This means that a production line, such as two lines can be used.
  • Supports many different board sizes: The AIMEX II supports small PCBs from 48 x 48 mm up to very large PCBs from 759 x 686 mm. This efficient production of a wide range of PCB sizes is possible; for example small PCB in mobile phones and digital cameras or larger for networking and notebooks, as well as extremely long for LED and LED TV panels.
  • Multi Feeder Unit (MFU): With the whole setup groups multi-feeder can be exchanged at once. If the optional off-line Power Supply Unit used, all roles can be disarmed at the feeders on the MFU outside the machine by pressing a button. This makes the external change more quickly and effectively.
  • Tray feeding units of the machine can be used on both sides: the tray units, both at the front, such as mounted on rear of the machine. A stoppage-free feeding of Tray components is made possible by the stand-alone use of the magazine configuration at Fuji. Thereby, the downtime of the machine is minimized due to idle Tray components.
  • Support high components to 38.1 mm: Components of 38.1 mm (1.5 inches) Height can be equipped with the Head of the AIMEX OF II. This allows the machine very high components as large Relays and LAN connectors, as they are commonly found in the automotive industry or on the motherboard, easy to process by exchanging the feeder.
  • Improved throughput: When using the V-Advance function (pushed forward feeder range) is in the use of V12 Heads a shorter distance between the pickup and placement position achieved so that an improved throughput.

AIMEX II heads and many of interchangeable components (component feeding facilities, camera units, and more optional units) are shared with NXT series. The AIMEX II inherits the flexibility of the NXT series and can as the NXT machines be flexibly configured to meet various production needs.

It is possible to extend a line for the high-mix/low volume production with an AIMEX IIS, additional feeder pitch to get and to incorporate further placement portals about.
