Installation of AIM and GPX in Schwabach

In the last year Automotive Synergies GmbH started a new electronics production in Schwabach close to Nuremberg. After several years of production in Slovenia the company has invested in a new SMD line in Germany. This project was fulfilled by Fuji as a general contractor.

The core components of the SMD line are Fuji Screenprinter GPX and the All-In-One-Placing-Machine AIM as well as a reflow oven from SMT. GPX and AIM machines are especially designed for low to medium size productions with high flexibility. The fast and high accuracy screenprinter GPX was chosen among others because of the very easy to use concept and the comprehensive functionality. Therefore the training time for the new operators was minimized.

By choosing AIM Automotive Synergies focused on the trend-setting technology from Fuji. The machine is based on the key concept of NXT with the latest technology. AIM is a very flexible solution and allows to adapt new technologies. Recently a dispense head was integrated in the machine. Just like NXT the AIM concept offers the chance to exchange placing heads without using any tools and within a few minutes. The new dispense head is used only for several products. Additionally AIM offers up to 180 feeder slots (8mm) – perfect for smaller lotsizes and many product changes. Using the intelligent feeders from NXT AIM achieves a maximum of flexibility and reduces downtime for changeover.
